Lionsgate Goes Beyond the Sky
Lionsgate has obtained the worldwide distribution rights to Fuera del cielo (Beyond the Sky), a Mexican urban crime drama. Javier Patron Fox directed the film in his feature debut and Guillermo Rios wrote the screenplay. The story is set in Mexico City and revolves around a pair of brothers. One has recently been released from prison and is trying to find his brother, a boxer. With the deal, Lionsgate hopes to make inroads with the growing Spanish-speaking audience in the U.S. and elsewhere.
