PJack to Direct Temeraire
Peter Jackson has optioned Temeraire, a historical fantasy series from author Naomi Novik. The series reimagines the world circa the Napoleonic Wars, as it also includes an air force of dragons and daring aviators. The story revolves around British naval Captain Will Laurence who captures a French ship and discovers an unhatched dragon egg onborad. It was a gift from the Emperor of China and was intended for Napoleon. When the egg hatches Laurence chooses to give up his naval career and names the dragon Temeraire. Along with Temeraire, Jackson's future also includes directing The Lovely Bones.
